From Prater Hauptallee to the Peace Pagoda
Sunday, July 19, 2026 • 10:00 • Tram stop Prater Hauptallee (1)
This time our mindful hike takes us through the green Prater, along the Upper Heustadelwasser and the Lusthauswasser. We will end at the Peace Pagoda beside the Danube, from where we will walk together to the nearest bus stop GrĂĽnhaufenbrĂĽcke.
During the mindful hike we have the opportunity to walk together in silence and connect with the nourishing elements of nature. During rest breaks there is time for exchange. Throughout the hike we practise various mindfulness practices from the Plum Village tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh: listening to the bell, second body, mindful communal eating, mindful sharing, Dharma text, dwelling in nature and – when it feels right – communal singing. More details on the concept can be found here.
No previous experience is necessary – only openness. The walking pace adapts to the group, and we wait for each other.
